The project Grundtvig 2 “an intercultural focus for an Active European Citizenship” is 2 years long (september 2005 to june 2007). The annual work is structured around three transnational meetings a year (six in total) all all countries of the participating partners.
The meetings last four or five days, in which a balance is attempted to be met between the time designated for concrete work and time designated to learning about the culture of the organisation and of the host country. The host organisation is in charge of organising the structure of the work sessions, follow up and evaluation of objectives. AIPC-PANDORA, as coordinating organisation of the project is in charge of future planning.
The national work groups are formed by paid and responsible staff assigned to the project, those responsible for the achievement of acitivities in their country and the group of volunteers who normally collaborate with the organisations, just as much as by the group of students chosen to participate in the work at a national level and in international events that include students, as was the case in Madrid, May 2006.
During the intervals between each meeting, each organisation works in their country and with their target group, developing the planned materiales and experimenting them with the group to which their work is directed.
During the first year of the project, the materials for the training course on Intercultural Active Citizenship are being worked on. The methodology designed for the joint development of the work will be seen in the separate seminars and activities.
